Drawing a Map from Pub Locations

There are roughly 29,000 pubs in Britain and Ireland on OpenStreetMap. Plot their locations and you will have a map to happiness  that is similar to the population density.

Super interesting. Do you know whether openstreet map has multiple years of data? i.e. to see whether there are new pubs opening, or pubs closing? That would be great for research.

Hi Amine. This would be a great project. As far as I know, openstreet maps keep a historical record of all changes made to their data by date. However, the date of those changes might not necessarily reflect the exact date when new pubs/roads etc were created in the real world. :(
